The challenge of a lifetime
Imagine what it would be like to climb one of the world's highest mountains, to walk the lost city of the Incas at Machu Picchu, or cycle through magical Vietnam. If you're up for a challenge that could change your life and those of the people relying on YouthNet's services, then an overseas expedition could be for you.
YouthNet has joined forces with leading overseas challenge events company Charity Challenge to offer individuals and groups the opportunity to take part in once-in-a-lifetime challenge events in aid of TheSite.org and do-it.org.uk.

Why do it?
"Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Although the training was tough it was definitely worth it when I got out there, especially when you remember what you're raising the money for. Reaching the top was a real struggle, but the amazing sense of achievement I had at the top more than made up for it!"
Sam, aged 25, London
"Walking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was simply fantastic. I trekked through amazing scenery - cloud forest, deep jungle and snow-capped Andean peaks - with a great group of people. Making it to 'the lost city' of Machu Picchu and knowing that I'd done it for a good cause was probably the most memorable achievement of my life."
Louise, aged 30, Hertfordshire
How it works
To take part in a challenge event you will need to raise a minimum sponsorship. The amount you need to raise is dependent on which challenge you pick, but is typically between £2,000 and £3,000. While each trip is different, YouthNet will always receive a minimum of just over half of your sponsorship funds. The rest will fund your flight and expedition costs. Once you hit your minimum sponsorship amount, every single additional penny you raise will come directly to YouthNet. You can read more about this in our FAQs.
The challenge itself will be run by Charity Challenge who will ensure that you are prepared and equipped to make the most of your adventure. YouthNet will support you with ideas and advice for raising your minimum sponsorship. To get you started you can create your own online fundraising page, print off a sponsor form and take a look at our fundraising ideas.
